Full Service & Rebuild Shop for ALL Harley-Davidson® American V-Twin Motorcycles & Custom Choppers.
I highly recommend Phantom Rider Choppers for any Harley service you need. Jim repaired my 2002 Electra Glide that had chewed up the chain tensioner. He made excellent recommendations for replacement parts and had the bike repaired in just a few days. Sounds and rides better than ever. I will be back. Excellent work at what I feel was a very reasonable cost for the amount of work done. Thanks Jim and Sandee.
Let me start by saying Jim and Sandee are wonderfully awesome people that have a true enthusiasm and passion for motorcycles and all that goes with it, and it's contagious!
I first came to Phantom Rider Choppers with a fuel line issue and they came highly recommended by a mutual friend Jay Felger from Felger tube rentals. My bike was towed to their shop by a company chosen by my insurance. After the bike was dropped off at their shop I received a call from Sandee asking me if I had any damages to my bike as she had noticed some scratches and a broke brake lever and footrest among other things while doing her intake inspection. I had also received a call from the tow truck driver stating that the bike had been dropped off with no issue.. Sandee suggested I should come to the shop and look over the bike with her and to view a video that was filmed by there surveillance security cameras... where they found that the tow truck driver had dropped my bike. Right away my first impression was of course Jim and Sandee have my back and truly care about their customers. Although it made me feel incredibly special that they caught this and made me aware of it I realize that that's just how they are and all of their customers can expect the same...
I know for a fact that as long as I have a motorcycle there is only one place that I will take it.

My wife and I are new to TX. We recently relocated from NC. Shortly after relocating, I had issues with both of my motorcycles. Neither would start, and one had a starter that did not disengage - was certain the damage was significant.
I stopped in at Phantom Choppers to talk with them about my bikes. Jim and Sandee were exceptionally professional and helpful. I work long hours and could not make it in on a weekday. Jim met me at the shop on the weekend. Then, he repaired both bikes at a much lower cost than I had anticipated. Both bikes run perfectly! I have had many Harley Davidson motorcycles, and have done business with many motorcycle shops. In my 51 years on this planet, I have never encountered better service.
Huge thanks to Jim and Sandee.
Jim and Sandee are great folks to work with and I won't use anybody else in the Hill Country to take care of my old ride! Jim goes beyond what's expected and makes sure it is right before you leave the shop. Looking forward to many more miles as long as I have his shop to care for the scooter! Thanks again - I'll head back to the Vietnam Wall next week knowing the old girl is in great shape!
Talk about going the extra mile so I could ride the extra miles!!!
My go to shop!
Thanks for everything...
Jim and Sandee are super great folks! Jim has been working on Harleys and other bikes for a long time and really knows his stuff and he'll do you right with no bullshit
I had a real problem while riding the Hill Country last weekend. A broken riser bolt had me stuck like Chuck. Gruene Harley Davidson wasn't much help at all, but they did find me the part I needed........in Austin. I took the riser out to James with the broken threads stuck inside. After spending a half hour and breaking three tools he had em out. Then he tried to say I didn't owe him anything, needless to say I gave him all the cash I had. There aren't many people around like him anymore so please, if you're riding by, stop and buy something from them. When these guys are all gone we will be stuck with the computer readers at the stealerships.

Was looking for an alternative to the HD maintenance shops in 2006 due to pricing and down time. Living in New Braunfels, I found Phantom Rider Choppers just west of town on 46. Spoke with both Jim and Sandee, felt comfortable with them, and have been getting my bike serviced there since then. Jim's work, pricing, attention to details, and timeliness can't be beat. He can do it all as well, from regular maintenance to a full custom build. Through the years, I've recommended him to anyone asking or looking for a great tech and all who've gone agree that he does a great job. My bike now has a bit over 123K on it and is still running strong. No major issues to date and I really think it's because Jim stays on top of things.
Excellent ! Phantom is the best place for all maintenance and repairs. They've been servicing my bikes for years and have never let me down. Example of great service... During a weekend camping trip with my family, the camper next to us had cracked his oil pan cover while riding, HD dealer could not help ( hours of operation or parts unavailable). I recommended he call Phantom. With-in 1 hour Jim arrived with a trailer, towed the bike to his shop, repaired the Harley and then delivered it back to the campsite that afternoon. Unbelievable service !
Got Cams, Exhaust, Air Cleaner, Power Commander & Dyno tune. It's got Nasty power compared to before. I'm loving it! Thank you very much. Looks and sounds great!
This is by far the best shop I have been to. Sandee is great, and Jim is one of the best mechanics I have found. The store front and shop area are clean and neat. And, they won't break it off in you when it comes time to pay up.
MOVED TO CANYON LAKE 2 YEARS AGO WITH A PROBLEM ON A 2006 HARLEY HAD A S@S MOTOR PUT IN BY A SHOP IN SPRING TEXAS (MAD DOG) BUILDING UP OIL PRESSURE HAD A LOT OF MONEY IN THIS BIKE AND NO BODY COULD FIND OUT WHAT WAS THE MATTER WITH IT. TOOK IT TO HARLEY IN GRUENE THEY WOULDNT WORK WITH IT BECAUSE HARLEY DID NOT DO THE WORK, THEY RECOMMENDED PHANTOM RIDER CHOPPERS AND IN TWO DAYS JIM CALLED ME AND I WAS AFRAID IT WAS GOING TO COST A LOT OF MONEY. THE TWO HEAD GASKETS WERE COMPLETLEY WRONG ONE GASKET DID NOT HAVE A PLACE TO VENT AND THE OTHER HAD TRIED TO CUT A HOLE WITH SOME KIND OF OBJECT AND WERE THE WRONG DEPTH. COULD NOT BELEIVE IT . HE ORDERED THE RIGHT GASKETS AND CHARGED A MORE THAN REASONABLE PRICE . ALSO SANDEE 'S STORE IN FRONT AND HIS SHOP IS CLEANER THEN ANY SHOP I HAVE SEEN. THEY WERE SO NICE. ONE MORE, BROUGHT A 2005 SOFTTAIL BIKE HAD BOUGHT FOR SON. KIND OF OUT OF TUNE IN THAT THE BIKE WAS OVER THEIR. MY SON Had found out he had termal cancer. Some how he told jim about it, didnt know and was afraid it was cost more then I had since I had put a lot of money out to doctors. When we went and picked it up it was on the rack put the seat back on and had my credit card out, he didn"t charge one penny did get tear in my eye !!!!! Thank you jim and sandee for your expertise and kindness. have told many people about your place and hope I can tell many more!!!! chris osburn canyon lake
The best move I made a few years back was to stop in at Phantom Rider Choppers. I immediately felt welcomed, which isn't always the case at Harley shops.. being a woman riding a bike. Whatever needs or concerns I've ever had have ALWAYS been taken care of regardless of how major or minor. Plain and simple, Jim and Sandee get the job done & I wouldn't take my bike anywhere else. Not to mention they are both pretty awesome people!

We love Phantom Rider Choppers! Jimmy and Sandee are very kind and professional; helpful with all our questions and very knowledgeable about their business and all bikes. Great service at a great price! Phantom Rider Choppers is a top notch experience from the moment you walk in the showroom through the time you ride off. We wouldn't trust our bike with anyone else! They go the extra mile for us and our motorcycle…truly wonderful people! We recommend Phantom Rider Choppers to all riders!

I am a completely satisfied customer with substantial experience with Phantom Rider Choppers since 2008. Over the course of the years I’ve had a big bore kit/gear driven cams installed, dyno tuning, replacement of the OEM front end with an improved inverted set of forks, installation of a 6 speed transmission to routine service work accomplished. On more than one occasion Sandee and Jim have worked with my changing work/cross country trip schedule for drop off & pickup of my bike. In 30 years of riding I prefer to put a couple hundred “local miles” on my bike before any cross country trip. Well, stuff happens and circumstances changed such that I had to depart, Texas to Virginia, the morning immediately after the transmission replacement. No issues, none, roundtrip. I wouldn’t have had that confidence after any “dealership” routine service let alone replacement of a major component. NOBODY puts their hands in my bike other than Jim Kallay, it’s that simple!

I wanted to thank you both for the great experience I had having Phantom Choppers work on my bike. Sandee's hospitality and follow through were a real bonus to Jim's service and expertise. Your ability to get me back on the road quickly was greatly appreciate. I feel like I made a couple of new friends, and look forward to seeing you out and about.
